Driving along the southwestern part of Mahé Island, you will encounter breathtaking scenery. Cruise at sea
Sail on a traditional local dugout canoe across Diego Bay; in about an hour, you will reach the Emerald Sea, where the waters are like a whole piece of crystal-clear emerald. The diverse colors and varieties of corals and fish are stunning and mesmerizing. Here, you can swim, sunbathe, or participate in snorkeling, kite surfing, windsurfing, and other activities at your own expense. Afterwards, head to a local fishing village to explore the lives of the local fishermen. Visit French Mountain, the best place to overlook Diego city and the Emerald Sea. If you are a hiking enthusiast, it is worth spending two to three hours climbing French Mountain. The trail is well-maintained, and along the way, you can see baobab trees, lemurs, and other unique flora and fauna. At French Mountain, explore the numerous military relics left from the colonial period, then proceed to Cape Erosion to visit the lighthouse and old cannons.

Next, you will head to the Pas de Bellecombe, where you can admire the grandiose Piton de la Fournaise crater, the highlight of this trip. Standing at an elevation of 2,632 meters, Piton de la Fournaise is a basaltic shield volcano. During eruptions, it spews large amounts of red-hot lava, which flows down to merge with the waters of the eastern Indian Ocean, creating a spectacular sight. Alongside Kilauea, Etna, and Stromboli, Piton de la Fournaise is one of the world\'s most active and remarkable volcanoes. This tour includes a 1.5-hour drive and is not suitable for guests with vertigo or heart conditions. Visibility from advantageous viewpoints is weather-dependent (fog or mist) and cannot be guaranteed. This journey will take you from sea level to an altitude of over 2,300 meters (7,545 feet).
